    Ron,
    I have found your information very interesting and helpful. I’m 66 and retired from the marine towing and shipyard business on the Mississippi gulf coast. I spent 11 summers fishing with my dad just north of Grand Rapids, beginning in 1958. On one of the early years we went to Lake Itasca and walked the dam. The trip has been a dream for many years, and I anticipate an August 1st start – four months and counting. About four years ago I gave all of my old camping gear to the kids in the neighborhood which opened the door for me to get new and better gear. Of course I purchased too much, so I’m now culling down to the absolute essentials. Thanks again for making your trip available to everyone.
